Configuring Your Web Browser

Internet Explorer 4.0

1. Open My Computer.

 

2. Open Control Panel.

 

3. Double-click on Internet.

 

4. At the top where it says You can change which page to use for your home page, type www.ispname.xxx in the address space. Click the Connection tab at the top.

 

5. Put a dot next to Connect to the Internet using a modem. Click the Settings button on the right side.

 

6. Under Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection, make sure mercury network is listed. Enter your dial-up login name in the form login_name@tm.net next to User and enter your password below that. Click OK at the bottom of the window. That will bring you to the connection tab in the Internet Options window. Then click the Programs tab at the top.

 

7. In this window, you can change which program you want to use for your e-mail and newsgroups. After you have made all desired changes, click the OK button at the bottom.
