Configuring Your Web Browser

Internet Explorer 5.0

1. Open My Computer.

 

2. Open Control Panel.

 

3. Double-click on Internet Options.

 

4. At the top where it says You can change which page to use for your home page, type www.ispname.xxx in the address space. Click the Connection tab at the top.

 

5. Mercury Network should be listed under Dial-up settings. If Mercury Network does not have (Default) next to it, highlight Mercury Network and click the Set Default button.
Put a dot next to Always dial my default connection. Click the Settings button on the right side.

 

6. Under Dial-up settings at the bottom, enter your dial-up login name in the form login_name@tm.net and your password, then click OK. Back in the Internet Options window, click the Programs tab at the top.

 

7. In this window, you can change which program you want to use for your e-mail and newsgroups. After you have made all desired changes, click the OK button at the bottom.
