Windows Browser Errors
The page cannot be displayed
The website or webpage you requested is unavailable.
The website may be temporarily down or non-existant. If you clicked
a link to the troubled site, go back to the previous page with the
link and click the Refresh or Reload button in your browser's menu
to download a fresh version of the page. If that doesn't work, try
clearing your browser's disk and memory cache. For a list of

Try a few other websites. If they give you the same error or any
other, you may have a connection problem. If this is so, contact
Your ISPs 24-hour Tech Support.
HTTP Error 404 - Not found
The browser could not find the website or webpage you
are looking for on the host computer. Check the URL (web address)
for any spelling mistakes and try again. The webpage or website you
requested may also have been moved or the name changed. If you get
this error, click the refresh or reload button in your browsers menu
to download a fresh version of the page. If that does not cure the
problem, try clearing your browser's memory and disk cache. For a

HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden/Access Denied
The website or webpage you are trying to get to
requires special access permission such as a password. May also come
up as a You are not authorized to view this page or
Directory listing denied error.

HTTP Error 503 - Service Unavailable
The host computer is too busy to process your request
for a webpage or website. Try the link or address again after about
30 seconds.
Bad File Request
The online form may have a JavaScript or HTML error on
it. You will have to contact the webmaster of the website that you
are at to report the problem.
Cannot Add Form Submission Result to Bookmark List
The results of many form searches, such as the search
result page of a search engine like Yahoo!, cannot be added to your
bookmarks or favorites as the search result pages are only temporary
files and are deleted by the web server after a certain amount of
time.
Connection Refused by Host
A different version of the HTTP 403 error. The website
or webpage you requested requires special access permission such as
a password.
Failed DNS Lookup
The website's URL (web address) could not be translated
into a known or valid Internet Protocol Address (IP address). Common
on commercial sites because the hosting computers that are
responsible for associating the domain name (www.whatever.com) with
its IP address equivelant are overloaded. Try going to the site or
webpage a little later. This error can occur because of a mistyped
URL (web address).
HTTP Error at Compressed xxx.com:8080
Replies:HTTP/1.0 500 Error from Proxy
Common when you are connected to the Internet through a
proxy server in a local area network setup that lets you connect to
the Internet without a modem. The proxy server is either busy, down,
or cannot interpret the command that it was given. Try viewing the
webpage or site again in 30 seconds. If the problem is persistent,
contact the network administrator of the proxy server -- xxx.com is
usually your Internet Service Provider
File Contains No Data
The browser found the site you were looking for, but
nothing in the specific file you requested. The Microsoft Knowledge
data base recommends adding a ":80" to the end or the URL
(web address) before the "/" forward slash --
http://www.microsoft.com:80/
Helper Application Not Found
You are trying to download a program that requires a
helper program that your browser did not find. In your browser's
Preferences or Options menu, be sure that the correct folder and
file is listed for the helper program. If you do not have the
correct helper program, save the file to disk and download the
helper program.
NTTP Server Error
The browser coud not find the Usenet newsgroup your
requested. Check the spelling of the newsgroup and try again.
Not Found
The link no longer exists. If you get this error, click
the refresh or reload button in your browser's menu to download a
fresh version of the page. If that does not cure the problem, try
clearing your browser's memory and disk cache. For a list of

Site Unavailable
The website is too busy to process your request or the
site is down for routine maintenance. Other possible causes may be
noise on the telephone line you are connected to the Internet with,
the site may no longer exist or the web address was misspelled.
TCP Error Encountered While Sending Request to Server
The error is caused by faulty data on the line between
you and the requested site. Another possible cause may be related to
the hardware in your computer. If all websites you try give the same
error or any other, you may have a connection issue on hand. If so,
please contact Your ISPs 24-hour Tech Support.
Too Many Users
The site is too busy to process your request. Try again
after about 30 seconds.
Unable to Locate Host
The web address of the website you tried to get did not
return anything, the site is unavailable at this time or your
Internet connection has dropped. Check the spelling of the web
address, if it is correct, try going to other websites. If you get
this error or any other for all websites, you may have a connection
problem. If so, please contact Your ISPs 24-hour Tech Support.
Cannot Connect to Server
This error can occur if you are using Secure Sockets
Layer security (such sites have "https" at the beginning of the web
address) when connecting to certain webservers. This error generaly
occurs on C2 StrongArm servers with Internet Explorer 3.x in Windows
95 and Windows NT.
