Configuring Your E-mail Program

Creating a new mailbox

1. Open Eudora Mail 5.0. Then click on the Mailbox menu at the top of the screen, and click New.

 

2. Type any name you want for the new mailbox. Click OK.

 

3. Click on the Special menu at the top, the select Settings.

 

4. Enter the following information:

  • Username: enter the first part of your e-mail address that appears before the "@" symbol.
  • Mail Server: mail.ispname.xxx
  • Return Address: can be any address you want, or you can leave it blank.

 

5. Now click on Checking Mail on the left side. Make sure the following information is correct:

  • Usersname: the first part of your e-mail address that appears before the "@" symbol.
  • Mail Server: mail.ispname.xxx
  • Mail Protocol: a dot should be next to POP
  • Authentication: a dot should be next to Passwords
  • A check next to Save password is optional, as are any other check marks.

 

6. Click on Sending Mail on the left.

  • Return Address: any e-mail address you want, or leave it blank.
  • Default Domain: tm.net, or leave it blank
  • SMTP Server: mail.ispname.xxx
  • Allow authorization: check marked
  • Leave everything else as is.

Click OK. You're all set to e-mail.
