Configuring Your FTP Program

Using Cute FTP

1. Connect to the Internet.
Click on your Start button, then click on Programs in the menu that slides out. From there, click on the Cute FTP folder, then click on Cute FTP.

2. In the FTP Site Manager window, click on the FTP site folder on the left that has your web site's connection information, then click on your the name of your web site on the right side and click the Connect button at the bottom.

3. After you have successfully logged into your web space, click the OK button.

4. The lower part of the Cute FTP screen should be divided into two sections. The left side contains the files and folders of your computer's hard drive. The right side contains the files and folders of your webspace. To upload a file (save it to your web space):

• Left-click on the file you want to upload so that it is high-lighted in blue.
• Then use the right-hand mouse button and click once on the file.
• In the gray menu that pops up, left-click on Upload.

5. To download a file from your webspace to your computer, left-click on the file you want download so that it is highlighted in blue, then right-click on the file. In the gray menu that pops up, left-click on Download.
