Configuring Fetch 3.0.3

1. Connect to the Internet. Open Fetch 3.0.3. It will immediatly come up with a connection window. Enter the following information:

  • Host: pages.tm.net
  • User ID: your Mercury Network login name
  • Password: password with no spaces and the proper capitalization
  • Delete the Directory and leave it blank. Click OK to get connected to your webspace.

 

Note: if you have domain hosting with Mercury Network, you will need to use www.yourdomain.com/net/org for the Host.

 

Creating a Shortcut

2. Shortcuts in Fetch are usefull because you won't need to reenter your user information each time you want to connect to your webspace. Once you have Fetch open, click on the Customize menu at the top. Then select New Shortcut.

 

2 a. Enter the following information:

  • Name: whatever you want to name the shortcut
  • Type: leave it as Unknown, the program will detect that automaticaly
  • Host: pages.tm.net if you are using your 10 free MB of server space or www.yourdomain.com/net/org if you have a web hosting account.
  • User ID: your Mercury Network login name
  • Password: your password must be entered without any spaces
  • Leave Directory blank

Click OK.

 

2 b. To connect to your webspace with your shortcut, click on the File menu at the top, then select Open Shortcut. A menu will slide out to the right, then select the name of your shortcut from the list.
